Road Tripping CO to CA Part II
Sunrise at the top of the canyon.
Trying to get artsy. I call this one "frost on a fence post."
Juniper berries that smelled great.
The Painted Wall.
We originally planned on stopping in Moab to do some mountain biking, but we were hungry and decided to stop at a Mexican restaurant in Fruita. Since we were already there, we decided to stay and ride.
We rented some bikes and hit up 18 Road. These trails were a blast. The burning sensation that comes from going up was all worth it for the down. Then we got smart and started doing shuttle runs with the van so we could get a lot more downs in before sunset.
Schralping the gnar on the Y bike.
Kessel Run and Joe's Ridge were a lot of fun. Here is a shot of Joe's.
Rental whip.
Sunset over the desert.
"Free candy!!"
Day 5: We rode Kokopelli the next day.
Here is a shot of the Colorado River from the warm up loop.
This was a fun part of Mary's Loop. Not too technical but took some sack to ride the ridge.
After returning the bikes, we headed out for Canyonlands National Park, Utah. These are some rocks we came along on our way there.
Our first view in Canyonlands National Park.
The Mesa Arch.
I only walked out part of the way.
Some sunset shots from the Green River Overlook.
Our third campsite of the trip in Canyonlands.
Mmmmmm burgers.
